Vettaiyan: Rajinikanth’s film sees increased screenings after positive response

Owing to the overwhelming demand and response to Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan, the makers have decided to expand their theatre presence across the nation. Additional screens will be added in key states across India.
Lyca Productions, the production company of Vettaiyan, shared a statement and claimed that the film is receiving record footfall because of which the distributors from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, and other states are demanding additional screens.
The decision to expand comes on the heels of Vettaiyan achieving massive box-office success within days of its release, earning praise for Rajinikanth’s powerhouse performance and TJ Gnanavel’s masterful storytelling.

Vettaiyan became the second biggest opener in Tamil cinema this year, with GOAT being the top opener. While Vettaiyan clocked in Rs 30 crore (nett), GOAT earned approximately Rs 44 crore nett in India on Day 1.
Vettaiyan is an action drama, directed by TJ Gnanavel. The film features Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Abhirami, Dushara Vijayan and Ritika Singh in pivotal roles. The film’s screenplay is jointly written by Gnanavel and B Kiruthika.
